Description

Welcome to Cap Ferret, a jewel nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Arcachon Basin. Our day begins with a must-see visit to the Cap Ferret lighthouse. Standing proudly at 53 meters, this iconic lighthouse offers breathtaking panoramic views of the peninsula, the Arcachon Basin and the ocean as far as the eye can see. It’s the ideal moment to take a few souvenir photos and appreciate the natural beauty of this exceptional region.

After the climb, we’ll head for the Villa Algérienne chapel, a real hidden treasure. This small Moorish-inspired chapel is a vestige of the former Algerian villa built in the 19th century. Its unique, colorful architecture gives it a unique, captivating charm.

Our next stop is the picturesque oyster-farming village of L’Herbe. This village, with its narrow streets and colorful huts, is one of Cap Ferret’s most charming. As you stroll through the village, you’ll be able to admire the oyster-farmers’ huts, witnesses of an ancestral know-how. Every street corner exudes authenticity, immersing you in the unique atmosphere of this traditional village.

To round off the day in style, there’s nothing like a tasting of fresh oysters. Comfortably seated overlooking the Arcachon Basin, you can savor these fresh-from-the-water marine delights. Accompanied by a glass of local white wine, the oysters reveal all their finesse and freshness.
