The storm passed through Brittany and it also lingered on the Arcachon basin. On the night of Friday, October 2 to Saturday, October 3, 2020, Alex Storm blew very hard, with gusts of 130 km/h recorded at Cap Ferret.
It took place in a period of high tide which explains that related to the depression the level of the Basin rose abnormally high. There was some damage, which this time was very surprising is the amount of sand that invaded the square of the carousel in Eyrac.
